2K SEMI-GLOSSY POLYURETHANE ENAMEL CONVERTER

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Converter based on modified hydroxylated polyols for cross-linked bi-component finishes with polyisocyanate hardeners.
These finishes, commonly referred to as of the polyurethane type, provide good adhesion, chemical and mechanical resistance, good resistance to abrasion and excellent flexibility.

USE SECTORS
For the anti-corrosive protection of iron, galvanised sheeting, light alloy structures, suitably prepared with epoxy bases such as the B522 Series ones.
For equipment, industrial machines, mechanical constructions in general.
Good resistance in average aggression industrial atmospheres, to atmospheric agents, mineral oils, aromatic hydrocarbons, solvents in general.
If catalysed with aliphatic polyisocyanates, that do not turn yellow, enamels created from the B533/0 converter provide good external resistance with good colour and gloss level hold.

DRYING
In air, at 20°C and 50% U.R.
Dry dust free: 40 – 50’
Can be handled: 1.5 – 2 hours
Hard in depth: about 8 – 10 hours
Forced air: 30 – 60’ at 60 – 80°C

POT LIFE
For the product catalysed with B596 and diluted: about 6 – 8 hours at 20°C.

ADVICE ON APPLICATION
We recommend using suitable epoxy-nylon anti-corrosive bases, such as the B522 Series, for the best guarantee of long-term resistance, adhesion and protection.

Diluents: those which are not specific for polyurethane systems should be avoided, as they could contain solvents that are harmful and/or not compatible with the polyisocyanate hardeners.

Products must be applied in environmental temperature and humidity conditions that do not compromise the end result; so must not be applied with temperatures under 10°C and relative humidity over 80%.
